The International Soul Music Summit

some of you may know that me n' D just returned from The 4th Annual International Soul Music Summit in Atlanta, GA...

as first-time guests of this wonderful event I HIGHLY recommend that any aspiring artist in the music/entertainment industry make it a point to attend this annual event...

Terry Bello did a phenomenal job hosting the four-day long conference at the Renaissance Hotel** in downtown Atlanta...

this was also me and D Ivey's first time being in Atlanta all together and although we did not get to tour the city much during the day our dining experience(s) were fantastic!

we highly recommend Ray's In the City and Silk...

Ray's is a fine seafood restaurant located in the heart of the downtown area and for all the sushi lovers Silk is definitely the place to be!

anyway...I digress...

The International Soul Music Summit is the largest music conference in the world dedicated to the soul genre; the International Soul Music Summit provides mainstream, emerging and independent soul artists, retailers, consumers and executives with information, networking opportunities, and technology on how to build noteworthy careers while continuing to make passionate, timeless music.

September 18, 2000now!!*

tomorrow's not promised...

so I live for the moment!

everyday is a birthday as far as I'm concerned...

especially in these times.....

I am without a doubt grateful for every breathe I take (and each moment with D ;o) )

age is simply a state of mind...

I'm gonna repeat this in CAPS for all my queens out there...

AGE IS SIMPLY A STATE OF MIND....

that's all I can say to y'all...

who ever came up with the "quarter-century life crisis" term was on that oooooweeee!!

(they prolly got paid though...can't knock their hustle...)

as usual I don't know what else to say(type) right now...

I am extremely excited about where my photography business is going....

along with a new found inspiration and love I have the best business manager that anyone could ask for to help guide me along the way!

The Dark Room Company is official now!

check out the new site!!
http://www.thedarkroomcompany.com

it is still actually under construction...only to a minor degree though...

pictures are up...contact section is up...

feel free to leave feedback!!

gotta send a super 'thank you' and congrats to Jocelyn Ribbins for the new name!

I can't thank everyone enough for all the support, neglect, love, anger, criticism, encouragement, etc. in these past 28 years of my life...

I would not be where I am now without it.....

The Vibe Session

ten years ago a friend of mine...

started one of the illest spoken word venues in the state...

he goes by the name of Q-Nice...

a few years later he met a young, ambitious artist who had an "amazing eye" for performance portraiture...

that ambition still resides in me to this very day...

nevertheless, I recently felt that an homage to 'The Vibe Session' is long overdue...

the wonderful, ecclectic, open-minded people that I have met as a result of this movement have played a tremendous role in my inspiration and creativity as a photographer...

those of you reading this can imagine how long that list of people must be...Y'ALL KNOW WHO Y'ALL ARE!
